A discussion about disability and how it is portrayed in films. Among the films considered, the show will review and discuss the pertinent disability rights issues highlighted in the movie Million Dollar Baby, a movie nominated for multiple academy awards while simultaneously infuriating the disability community.

Pushing Limits – January 30, 2005
Pushing Limits looks at love relationships in the disabled community. We will touch on universal commonalities and individual differences in relationships for disabled and non-disabled people. Folks in our community will share some of their thoughts and feelings on this topic vital to all of us.
Pushing Limits – January 16, 2005
Leroy Moore Jr. and Leah Gardner host a celebration and meditation on Martin Luther King Jr. Tom Ross, a Berkeley disabled activist and Pushing Limits collaborator will share poems commemorating King’s life, and we’ll hear words from King himself.
2004 Disability Review
